Mrs. Molokai

Desirae Mendija is a full-time student studying Business Administration at the University of Hawaii Maui College-Molokai Campus. Building her long time dream of becoming an entrepreneur, she opened Desi’s Island Gifts an Island inspired gift shop featuring Molokai Made products. Desi is the manager of Molokai Furniture, a 14-year old business providing island-style furniture to Molokai residents. Through her journey as Mrs. Molokai, she hopes to inspire others to chase their dreams no matter how impossible they may seem. If chosen as Mrs. Hawaii, Desi plans on growing Molokai’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Education, advocating Hawaii animal facilities/shelters and promoting achieving your goals through self love and perseverance.
