I was born eating poi and speaking pidgin in beautiful Hawaii. I played in my Abuelita’s (grandma) farm in Panama and rode horses in the deserts of Texas. I have returned as a science educator, wife and mother of three active teenagers. For me it’s not about winning but doing what I can to raise the voices of those educators working daily for our Keiki (children). For my beloved students in Waialua, I will walk the stage Bulldog strong
