Marie Juan-Roque
Mrs. Honolulu
Marie Juan-Roque lives by the adage “no one can do everything, but everyone can do something.”
Marie has been married to Paul Roque since 2007. Marie and Paul are both Active Duty Air Force officers, currently stationed at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. They have three children, ages 8, 5, and 2. As parents, one of their challenges is balancing the desire to give their kids everything they want and teaching them how to serve and give to others. As a family, they are committed to serving their community in as many ways as they can.
As a tribute to her late grandmother, Marie created the Estefania Foundation Inc. – a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization, and the Estefania Ventura Juan Scholarship fund, which honors outstanding high school seniors in need and intending to pursue a STEM degree in their undergraduate studies.
Marie recently presented the first Estefania Ventura Juan Scholarship to an outstanding 2020 graduate of Governor Wallace Rider Farrington High School, selected by their Scholarship Awards committee. The school is named after the late Wallace Rider Farrington, the sixth governor of the Territory of Hawai’i, who served from 1921 to 1929. Farrington High School is a public high school located in the Kalihi district of Honolulu, where Grandma Estefania was living before she passed away in 2018.
